Onetrak has rapidly grown into a major player in the Australian heavy equipment industry. Home to some of the largest brands within the earthmoving and construction, forestry, material handling and quarry industries, the business offers new and used machine sales, hire equipment, service and parts.

Our Safety & HR Advisor will have a big presence in the business. They will work closely with managers and team members to further develop and promote Onetrak’s Mission Zero work health and safety management system and also roll out activities under Onetrak’s people framework. This includes:
Overseeing and improving Onetrak’s Mission Zero safety management system
Driving Onetrak’s safety first Mission Zero culture through an active on the ground presence
Assessing Onetrak’s ongoing safety risks and implement action plans to ensure Onetrak’s work health and safety obligations are being met and exceeded
Actively promoting key safety and people priorities through regular formal and informal communications
Rolling out established people programs including: annual reviews and goal setting, culture survey and recognition programs
Assisting with HR administration including maintaining personnel files, onboarding and offboarding checklists and updating position descriptions
Provide support and guidance to managers on simple HR matters
Our new Safety & HR Advisor will support Onetrak nationally and can be based out of either of our two larger branches, Bridgewater (Hobart) or Hallam (Melbourne). There will be some travel (as reasonable) as part of this position.
You will have at strong knowledge of WHS legislation with at least three years experience working in a safety role. Ideally your experience would include working around heavy machinery, but other industrial environments will be considered.

ideal, although not essential is general HR knowledge and advisory skills
